The move underlines the club's continued focus on strengthening for both the immediate future and long-term sustainability, FarPost reported.
Baliti becomes the fourth player to make the switch from Siwelele during this transfer window, following Rapoo, midfielder Bohlale Ngwato and attacker Gamphani Lungu as Pirates continue to reshape their squad.
The Buccaneers have not limited their recruitment to one area of the pitch. Defender Sbangani Zulu has arrived from Richards Bay, while midfielder Mthetheleli Mthiyane joins from Stellenbosch. The club also secured the signature of highly rated Golden Arrows attacker Siyanda Ndlovu.
Despite completing the deal, Pirates are expected to loan Baliti back to Siwelele for the upcoming campaign. Unlike fellow recruit Rapoo, who is set to remain with the senior squad and compete for regular opportunities, Baliti will continue his development through consistent game time.
The decision appears aligned with Pirates' succession planning, especially with experienced utility player Deon Hotto entering the later stages of his career.
Although he often played behind Rapoo last season, Baliti still featured in 16 matches across all competitions, including 14 Betway Premiership appearances.
Since making his senior debut in the 2023/24 campaign, he has accumulated 41 first-team appearances and established himself as a dependable defensive option.
