Orlando Pirates wary of Sekhukhune threat ahead of MTN8 semi-final decider

Orlando Pirates wary of Sekhukhune threat ahead of MTN8 semi-final decider

The two teams will be battling for the third time in seven days with the Buccaneers emerging victorious on both occasions.

Sekhukhune United will be also looking to score against Orlando Pirates for the first time this season following the 1-0 loss in the first-leg MTN8 semi-final last Saturday and the midweek 2-0 defeat in their league encounter.

Babina Noko will know that they have to score at least once without conceding in order to possibly take the match into extra-time or penalties,

However, Bucs will be confident after their successive wins against United, needing only a draw to reach a fifth consecutive MTN8 cup final.

Moroccan head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou believes his side will need to play better than during the midweek victory over Babina Noko if they want to progress to the final.

"We had an interesting game in Polokwane [first leg] in terms of organisation, discipline and fighting spirit. For me, could have won 2-0 or 3-0," stated Ouaddou after the Tuesday's clash.

"I know that it won't be easy to qualify for the final, [especially] if we don't find solutions it will be very difficult."

Sekhukhune head coach Cedric Kaze will miss the clash due to suspension following his red card during the midweek encounter with the Buccaneers, with assistant coach Paulus Masehe set to lead the side in Soweto.

"Playing against Pirates is always the same because they don't change how they play, they don't adapt to anyone's style," said Masehe.

"We were able to take the game to Pirates and that was an improvement from the game in Polokwane. We've showed that we've developed confidence."

Kick-off is at 15h00.
