Soweto derby preview feature: Are Kaizer Chiefs in contention for Betway Premiership title?
Kaizer Chiefs lock horns with arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in a sold-out Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The 31-year-old former Maritzburg United and Bafana midfielder has been with the Buccaneers since 2021 and has gone on to make 110 appearances, scoring 11 goals and creating five.
He has, however, struggled for game-time over the past few campaigns and this season has featured in just four games in all competitions under current head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Shandu's contract with Pirates expires at the end of the 2025/26 season and is just one of a potential end of season departures.
The player's agent Mike Makaab told FARPost that no decision has yet been made on the player.
"Bandile Shandu is contracted to Orlando Pirates, and for us it is just to wait for the club to make a decision on the player. In this situation, they have the first preference," he said.
“We are open to any decision from Pirates, and should they opt against renewing the contract in the coming months, we'll be left with no choice but to look for other options for Shandu.”
