Stellenbosch seize the initiative with win over Sekhukhune in MTN8 semi-final
Stellenbosch FC claimed a valuable 2–0 victory over Sekhukhune United in the first leg of their MTN8 semi-final on Saturday evening at Danie Craven Stadium.
Ouaddou started his Buccaneers reign with a convincing 2-0 win over Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-finals.
But they have since lost both of their Betway Premiership games of the new season, going down 1-0 to Sekhukhune United and 2-1 to Marumo Gallants.
Sundowns, meanwhile, thrashed Richards Bay in their cup quarter-final and were then held to a 1-1 draw with Chippa United but come into this tie on the back of a 2-0 win over AmaZulu.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ouaddou said he is determined to secure a result for the club's fans.
He said in the Citizen: "It's a very exciting moment for not only the players, but for the fans as well. A clash of the two biggest teams not only in South Africa, but on the continent as a whole.
"We're excited and happy to play the game on Saturday and we hope to give a good show to all the supporters in South Africa."
Ouaddou added: "There's always pressure when you train (coach) such a big club. Pressure is everywhere, but we have to transform that pressure and make it a positive pressure and we must give our best for our fans.
"We have to try to bring back the victories and the happiness."
