Report: Aston Villa linked with move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson

According to Give Me Sport, Villa manager Unai Emery is keen on a reunion with the Senegalese international, whom he previously managed during their time together at Villarreal.

Jackson rose through the Spanish club's youth ranks and was handed his senior debut by Emery in a La Liga clash against Real Betis in October 2021.

Since making the move to Chelsea, Jackson has established himself as the club's first-choice centre-forward. He signed an eight-year deal upon arrival at Stamford Bridge, and still has six years remaining on his contract.

Despite his long-term commitment to the Blues, Aston Villa are believed to be exploring the possibility of bringing Jackson to Villa Park, drawn by his pace, pressing, and familiarity with Emery's tactical approach.

The 22-year-old's Premier League experience and proven development under Emery could make him a valuable asset as Villa prepare for a demanding domestic and European campaign.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea would entertain any offers for the striker, given his importance to the squad and the length of his contract.

However, with Villa's growing ambition and the lure of working under Emery once more, the Midlands club could test Chelsea's resolve in the coming weeks.
