Report: Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy linked with European interest

According to Bild, Guirassy's brother, who serves as one of his agents, has reached out to several top-tier teams across the continent to keep the 29-year-old's future open and secure a lucrative final contract.

"They're looking to keep all doors open," a source close to the situation revealed, emphasizing the strategy to maintain flexibility for Guirassy, whose contract with Dortmund runs until 2028. The Guinean forward's camp is reportedly focused on ensuring he has "full freedom of choice" in his next career step.

Last week, Dortmund turned down a massive 80 million euro bid from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, a decision that didn't sit entirely well with Guirassy's representatives. "They weren't thrilled with how quickly the offer was dismissed," Bild noted, suggesting the player's team wanted to at least consider the proposal.

Despite the rejection, Guirassy himself has expressed contentment at Dortmund, stating, "I'm happy here at BVB and I want to win trophies."

Guirassy's sensational debut season with Dortmund, where he netted 38 goals in 50 matches across all competitions, has made him a hot commodity.

His 13 goals in the UEFA Champions League and standout performances at the FIFA Club World Cup have only intensified interest from clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, all of whom can reportedly trigger a special 70 million euro release clause in his contract.

However, Dortmund remain confident in retaining their talisman. "Serhou absolutely wanted to join BVB. And not just to leave after a year," said Lars Ricken, Dortmund's managing director, reinforcing the club's commitment to building around their star striker. Head coach Nico Kovac echoed this sentiment, describing Guirassy as "our life insurance" for his clutch performances.
