New Man City left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri impresses Pep Guardiola at Club World Cup
Rayan Ait-Nouri made a dazzling debut for Manchester City as they cruised to a 6-0 victory over Al Ain in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Belgian midfielder, 33, has agreed a two-year deal with an option to extend and is set to undergo a medical shortly, before joining up with the squad after his summer break.
The former Manchester City star departs the Etihad after a glittering spell, where he recorded 170 assists in 422 appearances - more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues during his time at the club.
Despite interest from MLS clubs, De Bruyne has chosen to continue competing in Europe, drawn by Napoli's ambition and a strong connection in the dressing room.
At Napoli, he will reunite with former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who played a pivotal role in the club's 2024-25 title triumph, scoring 12 league goals.
The pair will now look to help manager Antonio Conte mount a successful defence of the Scudetto in the upcoming season.
De Bruyne's move has reportedly been given the green light by all parties, with only the medical remaining.
In a sign of his commitment, he has already purchased a house in Naples, underlining his readiness to embrace this new chapter in his career.
