Report: Nottingham Forest, Leeds chase Atletico star Reinildo Mandava

The 31-year-old Mozambican international, who can also operate further up the left flank, will leave on a free transfer following the FIFA Club World Cup.

Reinildo, who brings a wealth of European experience, is attracting significant interest across Europe and beyond. In England, Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen, with the East Midlands club eager to strengthen at left-back.

With Alex Moreno's future uncertain after a loan spell and Harry Toffolo needing competition, Reinildo is viewed as an ideal candidate - especially as Forest prepare for a Europa Conference League campaign.

Meanwhile, Sunderland are also monitoring the situation as they gear up for life in the Premier League. Reinildo is one of several players identified as part of their ambitious plan to bolster all areas of the squad.

Leeds United, too, are in the frame, with Junior Firpo expected to leave when his contract expires on 30 June. With Real Betis interested in re-signing Firpo, Leeds have earmarked Reinildo as a direct replacement.

Interest isn't limited to England. Clubs from Turkey and Saudi Arabia have made enquiries, sounding out the defender's contract expectations.

Reinildo has reportedly already turned down one Premier League offer due to concerns over salary and the sporting project, but the race for his signature remains open.
