Report: PSG plot world-record 250 million Euros move for Chelsea's Cole Palmer

The Blues recently delivered a statement of intent by dismantling PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup final, with Palmer's brace and assist for Joao Pedro's goal securing a 3-0 rout, capped by PSG's Joao Neves seeing red in the second half.

Palmer, 23, has been a revelation since his 2023 move from Manchester City, amassing 37 goals and 19 assists in 70 Premier League matches. His scintillating Club World Cup final performance underscored why Chelsea view him as the cornerstone of their future.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reported that PSG's sporting directors "have outlined an ambitious plan" to sign Palmer, with sources claiming they are ready to table a historic offer.

Yet, Chelsea "are not considering his departure under any circumstances," and Palmer himself has shown no desire to leave London.

After the final, Palmer emphasized the team's defiance. "Everyone doubted us, but we went out and fought against a great team," he said on DAZN. "The gaffer's game plan was spot-on, and I repaid him with goals."

Manager Enzo Maresca lauded Palmer's clutch mentality, telling reporters, "Big games, big moments—that's where Cole steps up, and he showed it again."

Chelsea's official X account erupted post-match, posting, "World Champs! Cole Palmer runs the show!" Palmer himself shared, "Unreal night. World champions with this squad!"

PSG's X presence was muted, though manager Luis Enrique admitted, "Chelsea were ruthless. We must regroup." With Palmer central to Chelsea's ambitions, PSG's audacious bid faces a formidable challenge.
