Report: Tottenham target moves for both Savinho and Nicolas Jackson

Having already reinforced their defence and midfield during the transfer window, Spurs have now turned their attention to revamping their attacking options.

Their pursuit of Savinho gathered momentum after an earlier attempt to sign Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo came to nothing, with the Reds unwilling to entertain offers as they looked to preserve their attacking depth.

According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms have already been agreed with the Brazilian winger, who has also submitted a formal transfer request at Manchester City.

Savinho is eager to work under Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi, while negotiations between the two clubs continue to advance. City are insisting on receiving their full 60-million-pound valuation and will only sanction the transfer once they have secured a replacement.

Tottenham also encountered obstacles in their search for another wide attacker before deciding to prioritise an experienced central forward. That has led them to Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, with initial contact already made between the London rivals.

The 25-year-old Senegal international spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he was largely restricted to appearances from the bench. The Daily Mail reports that Jackson is seeking a permanent move to improve his chances of regular first-team football.
