The Kwa-Zulu Natal side begin their 2024/25 season against Marumo Gallants who they have never lost to before in a league match, before playing their first KZN derby against Golden Arrows.

A week later the team will travel to face Kaizer Chiefs, having never won a league clash against the Soweto giants away from home.

The Natal Rich Boys will then host their 'hoodoo' team Chippa United, a team they have never won against in the top-flight, before ending the month of August with a clash against new PSL club Siwelele.

Richards Bay announced 11 new signings ahead of the new season including experienced Malawian striker Gabadinho Mhango and former Golden Arrows and Bafana Bafana defender Thabani Zuke.

The team also parted ways with six players, with lead striker Yanela Mbuthuma and left-back Nkosikhona Ndaba joining Orlando Pirates, whilst Keagan Allan, Thato Mohlamme, Somilia Ntsundwana and Thabiso Kutumela also departed.

Bay will want to improve on their last-minute top eight finish in the 2024/25 season under co-coaches Papi Zothwane and Ronnie Gabriel.

"I think coming off last season we had a tremendous end to the season where we ended up getting into the top eight, said co-coach Ronnie Gabriel at the Betway Premiership media launch.

"So, this season, we wanted to address some concerns, like improving our away record and hopefully we are going back to uMhlathuze and playing our home games back at home. It will add 10 to 12 points to our tally come the end of the season."
