Roony Bardghji hoping to stay at Barcelona despite January loan rumours

The Sweden international joined the club from Copenhagen in pre-season and is considered a star of the future but has only played twice for Barca so far this season.

This has led to significant speculation that he might be loaned out during the January transfer window in order to get him some more guaranteed game time.

However, Bardghji has no interest in moving away and would instead to remain part of the setup at Barcelona and continue working towards a place in the first team.

"[A loan move is] what the media writes. But it's extremely fun [to be at Barcelona] and I have a good relationship with Hansi [Flick] who is an incredible coach. He and the club have confidence in me, which means a lot. The other thing I don't know. I just think it's something that's been written," he told Fotbollskanalen.

"It feels extremely good. I'm developing every day and learning a lot. I've gotten a lot of playing time, so it feels extremely good. I'm patient. I've been there for three or four months, so it's still early, says the talent.

"We have a lot of games and rotate players a lot. I don't know if I would say I'm close, but I've gotten a lot of minutes and I've done well," he added.

"It feels good and it's just about patience. I've been there for three or four months now. I believe it will come at some point."
