The German coach announced his exit from the Betway Premiership side in his post-match interview despite picking up his side's first point of the new season.
The Rockets had started their campaign with three straight losses.
They also saw their Carling Knockout Cup hopes dashed with a 1-0 quarter-final defeat to Magesi, and lost 3-1 to Stellies in their MTN8 tie earlier on in the year.
But Ramovic's departure still came as a surprise to fans after the progress the coach made over the past three seasons as Galaxy ended in sixth-place last term alongside a run to the final of the Carling Knockout Cup.
Sukazi confirmed that he was aware of Ramovic's desire to leave.
The Galaxy supremo told Metro FM Sport: "Yes, I was aware. Sead announced his resignation on Sunday after our game against Magesi [to the team] in the change room.
"We met on Monday and went through what we had to discuss. We went to the game against Stellenbosch knowing that he has resigned, it is his last game.
"My message to the team once he was done with his technical, tactical analysis, I said to the team, this being the last game of our coach, we know he has contributed a lot to the club. He has shaped many of you and your careers. All you could do tonight is just give him a very resounding send-off by playing well."
