Chippa United's silent rebuild continues under Sinethemba Badela
New Chippa United head coach Sinethemba Badela is quietly orchestrating a rebuild at the Gqeberha-based club.
Mali previously worked as a performance analyst at Chippa from 2017 to 2019, while he has also worked as a scout for both Kaizer Chiefs, and more recently Sekhukhune United, and is currently employed by Bafana Bafana.
He will link up with new head coach Sinethemba Badela reported new assistant coach Mark Mayambela, who is expected to join Badela's technical team after completing his UEFA A coaching licence in Northern Ireland.
Part of a Chilli Boys statement read: "Since his early days with us, Mr. Mali has gone on to make a significant impact across some of South Africa's most recognised football institutions.
"He served in key technical roles at Kaizer Chiefs FC as an analyst and later at Sekhukhune United FC, where he operated as both analyst and head of recruitment – helping guide the club to its highest ever points tally in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership.
"He currently serves as Head of Analyst for Bafana Bafana, a role he will continue as the national team prepares for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and concludes its FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
"We are confident that Mr. Mali will meet the moment. His return is not only a testament to the calibre od leaders shaped within this province, but also a clear signal that Chippa United FC is ready to evolve, mature and lead from the front."
