Moloisane has been one of the standout performers for Stellenbosch this season, making 43 appearances across all competitions. His consistent displays have not gone unnoticed, earning him a call-up to Bafana Bafana for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin in March.
The 26-year-old defender had previously been part of the national setup, having made his debut at the 2024 COSAFA Cup against Mozambique.
"Thabo has been superb throughout this whole season," Barker told FarPost.
"He got his due recognition by making the last Bafana Bafana squad. I'll be very surprised if he's not in line for the Defender of the Season award. He's been consistent for us throughout the season - really solid."
With their cup run now over, Stellenbosch are fully focused on their Betway Premiership campaign, where they remain in the hunt for a CAF Confederation Cup spot next season.
The Cape Winelands side currently sits fourth on the log with 44 points from 25 matches, just one point behind third-placed Sekhukhune United, who have played one game more.
Stellenbosch's final three fixtures present a real opportunity to secure continental football.
They face Mamelodi Sundowns this Sunday at Lucas Moripe Stadium, followed by a home clash against SuperSport United, before wrapping up the season with a Cape derby against Cape Town City on 24 May.
