It looked as if Matsatsantsa were heading for another defeat after Relebogile Mokhuoane had scored for the hosts on 49 minutes. But Samir Nurkovic ensured a share of the spoils with his goal with 90 minutes on the clock.

New SuperSport striker Christian Saile was first in with a chance with a header he glanced wide of the target early on.

Lebohang Maboe, who was one of five changes made to the SuperSport line from the team that lost 3-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns last time out, then forced Badra Ali Sangare into a strong low save after hitting a first-time effort on target with 20 minutes on the clock.

Sangare was quick to deny Nurkovic from racing through on goal moments later, with an important clearance when one-on-one with the striker.

Ricardo Goss was certainly not as busy as his counterpart but was kept on his toes with a good effort from Sipho Mbule as the half drew to a close.

But it was the home side who emerged after the break the more lively of the two teams, and an unmarked Mokhuoane was left to head home a Keletso Makgalwa cross.

Sangare was, meanwhile again impressive as he denied Maboe, with SuperSport looking for a response - that looked to have arrived in the shape of a 62nd minute penalty for a handball by Katlego Mohamme - but Ghampani Lungu failed to beat Sangare in the Sekhukhune goal.

Chibuike Ohizu had the opportunity to seal all three points for the hosts with a shot from point-blank range that he his straight at Goss, before Nurkovic made the most his opportunity late on to fire home at the near post.

The result saw Sekhukhune move back into fourth place with 25 points and leave SuperSport down in 12th place with 17 points, and having played an extra game.
