WAFCON: Mali hold on for narrow win over tireless Tanzania
Mali secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Tanzania in a tightly contested CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations clash in Berkane, Morocco, on Monday night.
The 27-year-old Azam FC playmaker is a reported target for Betway Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs.
His quality was on display in the international friendly match with South Africa on Saturday where Tanzania secured a hard-fought goalless draw.
When quizzed about the player's future, Suleiman said he felt Salum would be well suited to the Premiership.
He said on FARPost: "You know, Feisal, I think he has the qualities of South African players. So, for me, he can play on any team.
"I believe he is the best midfielder in Tanzania at the moment. He is a good player and young. We need to support him. Given the fact that he is a good player, that gives him an advantage to be able to play anywhere."
Salum joined Azam from Young Africans in 2023. This season he has four goals in 13 league appearances. Azam are currently in third place on the Tanzanian Premier League standings with two games of the season to play.
