The 18-year-old joined Tottenham's Under-21s squad after progressing through the academy at Hearts, where he quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young forwards in Scottish football. Wilson made his professional debut in January 2024 at just 16 years old and has already built up significant senior experience.
In total, he has made 45 first-team appearances for Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, scoring eight goals. His rise continued on the European stage in December 2024, when he scored against FC Petrocub in the UEFA Conference League. That goal made him Hearts' youngest-ever European goalscorer and the youngest player to score in the competition.
Wilson's rapid development has also been recognised at international level. After representing both Scotland and Northern Ireland in youth football, he committed to Scotland and earned his first senior cap in March 2025.
He came on as a second-half substitute in a UEFA Nations League play-off against Greece, becoming Scotland's youngest men's international and breaking a national record that had stood for 138 years.
Tottenham see the move as an important step in Wilson's development, giving the young striker a new challenge as he continues to build experience at elite level.
