TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic backs Kamogelo Sebelebele to succeed at Orlando Pirates

The 23-year-old winger came up through the ranks at Galaxy and has been a solid campaigner for the club since making his senior debut in the 2021/22 season.

Last term he featured in 29 games, scoring five goals and providing two assists as the Rockets ended in an impressive fifth place in the Betway Premiership.

Beganovic feels that a move to a "club like Pirates" was long overdue for the talented attacker and backs the player to succeed.

He told the Sowetan: "He deserves to sign that contract because he has been with the club [Galaxy] for five years.

"He is an amazing human being and the next step for him is to join a club like Pirates.

"He made a good decision to join Pirates because he can still improve there because there is everything he needs there. And I think he will get game time there because he is a complete soccer player.

“There is a new coach there, and when the club believes in you, you will be successful. He has skills and I believe he will be successful.”

The talented Sebelebele was named in the team for the tournament after his exceptional displays for Bafana Bafana in the recent COSAFA Cup.

He was not part of the Pirates team that recently returned from a pre-season tour of Spain but will link up with the squad as they prepare for their MTN8 quarter final with Polokwane City on 2 August.
