Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of highly-rated winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig after completing one of the biggest transfers of the European summer.

The new deal ends months of reports linking the 26-year-old with a possible move to Premier League champions Arsenal and secures the future of one of Madrid's most important players.
In a club statement, Real Madrid said: "Real Madrid and Vinicius Jr have agreed to extend our player's contract, which now keeps him with the club through June 30, 2032."
The club added: "Vinicius has become one of the most important players during one of the most successful periods in our history."
Vinicius arrived from Brazilian club Flamengo in 2018 and has developed into one of the world's top attacking players. During his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has scored 128 goals and provided 100 assists in all competitions.
His previous contract had been due to expire in 2027, leading to lengthy negotiations and reports that Arsenal were keeping a close watch on the situation. The new agreement ends any possibility of Madrid losing the Brazil international as a free agent.
Vinicius has enjoyed remarkable success with the Spanish giants, helping the club win two UEFA Champions League titles, three La Liga championships and several other major trophies.
The winger is now preparing for a new chapter under Jose Mourinho, who returned for a second spell as Real Madrid manager in June following the club's disappointing 2025-26 campaign.
Madrid finished second behind Barcelona in La Liga, were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals and ended the season without lifting a major trophy.
Securing Vinicius on a long-term contract is another important move in a busy transfer window for the Spanish giants. The club have already strengthened Mourinho's squad with the signings of Yan Diomande, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella and Denzel Dumfries.
Real Madrid continue their preparations for the new season when they face Ferencvarosi TC in a pre-season friendly in Budapest on Saturday.
