Selection headaches mount for Nigeria's Eric Chelle ahead of Unity Cup 2026
Pressure is already mounting on Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle as he prepares to name his Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup 2026.

Zimbabwe, under the guidance of Kaitano Tembo, will take on Nigeria in the semi-final of the tournament at The Valley as preparations continue for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this year.
Munetsi linked up with the squad in Birmingham on Friday as the Warriors began camp for the invitational competition, which will also feature Jamaica and India.
The experienced midfielder believes the tournament presents an important opportunity for the team to build chemistry, especially with several new faces included in the squad.
"We have some big games coming up, the first one is against Nigeria, which everyone is looking forward to," Munetsi told the Warriors media as quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.
"We have some new guys coming in, some fresh faces. It's a good opportunity for us to know each other. Obviously, these two games are important but the one we are looking forward to is the AFCON qualifiers that are coming up."
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder has become one of Zimbabwe's key senior figures in recent years and is expected to play a leading role as the Warriors aim to build momentum ahead of the continental qualifiers.
