Ghana had already secured their place in the round of 32 after Spain's 1-0 win over Uruguay confirmed they would progress as one of the best third-placed teams at worst. However, Queiroz made it clear that qualification would not change his team's mentality when they faced Croatia.
The Portuguese coach said he was not interested in calculations about possible opponents or future venues, including the situation involving Thomas Partey and his inability to enter Canada.
"We just focus on one game, which is Croatia, and get results," Queiroz said. "Play good football. With good football, be better than them on the pitch. That's what we're going to try to do. Fight more, be better."
Ghana's final position in Group L could still affect their round-of-32 opponent. A first-place finish would see them face a third-placed team from another group in Atlanta, while finishing second or third could lead to difficult matches against teams such as Colombia or Portugal.
Queiroz insisted those possibilities would only be considered after the final whistle.
"When the results come at the end of the game, we'll be there to make decisions, if we're first, second or third," he said. "But important is to play one game. Only one game."
The Ghana manager also challenged his players to show confidence and determination against Croatia, believing the match was an opportunity to prove their quality on the biggest stage.
"I only have one way to play the game. It is play for win and that is what we are going to do tomorrow," Queiroz added. "Express ourselves and have the freedom to enjoy and play good football during 90 minutes with the same concentration and same resilience."
