The former Mamelodi Sundowns mentor recorded a 4-1 last 16 victory in the Libyan Cup against Abu Salim ahead of a 4-1 Libyan Premier League win over Shabab Al Ghar.
This was followed up by a recent 2-0 result against Al Tersana on Wednesday evening where goals from Naoufel Zerhouni and Mouad Issa settled the tie.
Mokwena's charges are now on top of the league standings with 38 points from 14 games.
Reflecting on the recent result, a delighted Mokwena says it's important for his players to maintain a winning mentality.
He said on Soccer Laduma: "The team is improving, we are improving, we are working hard, but we still have a lot of work to do.
"We have to keep this mentality, we have to keep this approach to football and to life.
"Everyone is important, they’re playing for Al-Ittihad because they are good and because they deserve to be here, no one is doing them any favours because they deserve it."
