Amakhosi lifted the trophy last weekend, ending a 10-year wait for silverware.
Despite the historic win, Kaizer Chiefs have quickly turned their focus back to the league. The team has paused celebrations as they push to finish in the top eight of the Betway Premiership, a goal that would see them qualify for next season's MTN8 competition.
Their next hurdle is a challenging fixture against third-placed Sekhukhune United this Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
"I am happy because it is something [winning Nedbank Cup] we have all been looking for," said defender Zitha Kwinika.
"It has lifted a bit of weight from us, but we are professionals at the end of the day. We have a job at hand and we know we can't celebrate forever. But we take this good feeling as the start of better things.
"The road to winning more trophies starts this Saturday against Sekhukhune.
"Finishing in the top eight makes a lot of things possible. The Nedbank Cup win gives us even more motivation to make the top eight so we can recreate the feeling.
"The most important game is always the next game."
A victory would bring Chiefs significantly closer to securing a top-eight spot and continuing their resurgence.
Sekhukhune United are also playing for high stakes, as they aim to cement their place in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
