TGL: Billy Horschel's final-hole eagle lifts Atlanta Drive GC past New York
Billy Horschel delivered a dramatic final-hole eagle to help Atlanta Drive GC start their TGL title defence with a 6-4 win over New York Golf Club.

The Atlanta team won both matches in the best-of-three TGL finals that wrapped up the first season of the high-tech indoor league at the SoFi Center in Florida.
New York led from the start and was up 3-2 on the 14th hole when PGA Tour star Billy Horschel delivered the biggest shot of the night. Atlanta threw a "hammer" challenge that New York accepted, making the penultimate hole worth two points. Rickie Fowler was in a bunker, then dug it out to four feet.
Horschel faced a putt down a ridge that broke two ways. The ball turned back to the left and into the cup, then Horschel raced off the green and threw his putter and his hat in the air.
"Two feet out I knew it was in the hole, and I blacked out," said the American.
On the final hole, New York threw a hammer challenge. Cameron Young and Patrick Cantlay each missed the green on the par five. But Cantlay's superb 60-foot pitch stopped a foot from the hole. Young had to hole out to force another match, but his shot slid by the hole.
The $9 million in prize money was shared among Horschel, Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover, who was inactive for the three-man match. As runners-up, New York received $4.5 million for Young, Fowler, Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick.
