Abdeslam Ouaddou refuses to engage in injury-time row after derby win

The Buccaneers cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory - their biggest league derby win in two decades - thanks to goals from Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis and Evidence Makgopa. The result also saw Pirates reclaim top spot on the Betway Premiership standings.

After the match, Kaze suggested that Pirates players were exaggerating injuries to run down the clock. However, Ouaddou chose not to escalate the situation, instead adopting a respectful tone.

"When somebody is injured, what can we do? And I don't want to respond to that," Ouaddou during a press-conference.

"I respect all the coaches in the PSL. Coaching is very hard, so we must respect each other, so I am not going to start arguing with my colleagues now. We played the game like we wanted to play it. We started like we wanted to start; the players respected the game plan."

Ouaddou was full of praise for his team's overall display, insisting Pirates controlled the contest from start to finish.

He added: "We can say we deserve this victory. Pirates were the better team today, and I can just wish the best for Chiefs; it's the club that I like."

The emphatic triumph not only secured bragging rights but also reinforced Pirates' status as serious title contenders.
