Arne Slot weighs up Conor Bradley call as Liverpool injury list grows ahead of Wolves clash

Arne Slot weighs up Conor Bradley call as Liverpool injury list grows ahead of Wolves clash

Bradley was forced off at half-time during Liverpool's recent win over Tottenham Hotspur, and Slot has confirmed the right-back has not trained this week. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Liverpool head coach admitted a late call will be made on Bradley's availability.

"Conor will be 50-50," Slot said. "He's not training with us today, not tomorrow, so Friday we will see exactly where he is, if he can be in the squad yes or no for the weekend."

Slot also provided clear updates on other absentees, confirming Liverpool will again be without Joe Gomez and Wataru Endo, while Cody Gakpo remains a doubt.

"Joe won't be available, Wata won't be available," Slot said. "Cody is a bit similar to Conor, so we will have to assess him as well."

Liverpool's situation worsened against Tottenham when Alexander Isak, who had come on as a substitute for Bradley, was later forced off himself after suffering a serious leg injury. Slot has confirmed the striker has undergone surgery after fracturing his fibula and damaging his ankle.

"He will be out for at least a couple of months," Slot said. "That's a big disappointment for him and for us."

Despite the setback, Slot remains confident Isak can still contribute later in the season.

"Yes, I am confident," Slot said. "Maybe no one understands, but if you haven't trained for three or four months on a serious level with the team and you are playing in this league, you need to be on top of your game to impact matches."

Slot explained that Isak's lack of a full pre-season had already meant a gradual build-up before the injury struck.

"We always knew it would take months because there was no pre-season," Slot said.

"There were games, games, games, hardly any time to train. That's why he's so unlucky now, because we all saw with his goal against West Ham and this goal against Tottenham that he was getting closer and closer to the player he was last season at Newcastle."

Liverpool's attacking options are further stretched with Mohamed Salah away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Egypt, leaving Slot to carefully manage his squad as the Reds close out 2025 against Wolves.
