Barcelona weigh loan move for Man Utd's Marcus Rashford

The 27-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, remains one of United's highest-paid players, reportedly earning around 370,000 pounds per week.

While United would ideally prefer a loan fee, they may be forced to accept an arrangement in which Barcelona cover only part of his wages.

Rashford's adaptability is a key attraction for Barcelona. He offers blistering pace from wide positions and can also feature as a No. 9 - a role in which he could deputise for veteran striker Robert Lewandowski.

His ability to play across the frontline gives Hansi Flick additional tactical flexibility, especially with the club engaged in a summer rebuild.

Despite their interest in Rashford, Barcelona's top transfer priority remains Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao.

However, Flick reportedly believes that even if the Spanish winger arrives at the Camp Nou, Rashford would still enhance the squad's depth and attacking variation.

Adding further intrigue, Rashford recently gave an interview to Spanish YouTuber Javi Ruiz, where he hinted at thoughts about his future - though he stopped short of confirming any intent to leave Old Trafford.

Asked whether he would like to play alongside Lamine Yamal, he said: "Yes, for sure. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully... we'll see.

"It's difficult to put into words what [Lamine Yamal] is doing because he's not supposed to be doing that at 16 or 17. I don't think we've seen that before. Spain is nice, and it's not too far from home."
