Captain Cardoso in renewal talks with Sekhukhune United

The 37-year-old has featured prominently in the starting line-up for Babina Noko this season, making 23 appearances in all competition to help his side push for a spot in CAF competitions next season.

According to FARPost, Eric Tinkler's side want to retain the former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back for another season, with his current deal expiring in June 2026.

Cardoso has also captained the Limpopo based side on 17 occasions this 2025/26 season, showing his importance to the team's set up.

The club and the player are expected to wrap up a new deal within the coming weeks, but nothing has been finalized between the two parties yet.

He joined Sekhukhune as a free agent in July 2022 after departing Amakhosi and has since gone on to make 118 appearances for United, scoring three goals
