Dani Olmo backs Barcelona's new signings to outshine rivals Real Madrid

In an interview with El Partidazo de Cope, the midfielder also addressed the club's ongoing registration issues, expressing confidence in new signing Joan Garcia's mindset despite the challenges.

Barcelona have bolstered their squad with Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford, and Roony Bardghji, and Olmo believes they have settled in seamlessly. "They've adapted very well to the group," he said.

When comparing the transfer activity of the two Spanish giants, Olmo was bullish: "Real Madrid have signed good players, but we've done the same, and better."

Last season, Barcelona enjoyed a strong campaign, meeting many of their objectives and witnessing the emergence of talents like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. However, the Champions League remained elusive, with a painful exit against Inter Milan lingering in the memory.

"Our main goal is to repeat what we achieved and finally get that Champions League thorn out of our side," Olmo said, reflecting on the defeat.

Registration Woes

Barcelona's struggles with player registrations have been a recurring headache, and Olmo knows this better than most, having been affected by delayed registration himself.

When asked if Joan Garcia, the latest addition, might face similar issues, Olmo was pragmatic: "Registration isn't up to him—it's the club's responsibility. I see him calm and happy with his decision," he said, dismissing concerns.

Olmo also opened up about his own experience, admitting the uncertainty took a toll. "It affects you, no doubt. Subconsciously, it impacted my day-to-day, but I focused on training, and the important thing is it got resolved," he confessed.

Despite the ordeal, Olmo insisted he had no regrets about joining Barcelona, stating, "It's been worth it."

Olmo's comments and Barcelona's bold transfer moves signal their ambition to compete on all fronts, with the Champions League firmly in their sights.
