Katlego Mkhabela takes his leave from Sekhukhune

The 29-year-old joined Babina Noko from Free State Stars 2022, but was used sparingly as he made just 32 appearances across three seasons in all competitions.

He becomes the ninth player to be shifted out by current head coach Eric Tinkler, who joined the club in March as a replacement for Lehlohonolo Seema.

Other recent departees include Pogiso Mahlangu, Loydt Kazapua, Kamohelo Sithole, Miguel Antonio Dias, Alves Ngakosso and Lindokuhle Mtshali. Katlego Otladisa returned to Orlando Pirates after the end of his loan spell while Sipho Mbule was signed by Buccaneers.

A club statement read: "Babina Noko announce the departure of right-back Katlego Mkhabela, who joined the team on 8 July 2022.

"Throughout his time with us, Katlego gave his all on the pitch — providing defensive strength, adaptability and unwavering commitment.

"You played for the badge, Katlego and we deeply appreciate your hard work, dedication and contribution to the Babina Noko family.

"From our hearts, we wish you nothing but success in your future endeavours."
