Manqoba Mngqithi backs Siyanda Ndlovu for Bafana Bafana call-up after stellar start to season

Manqoba Mngqithi backs Siyanda Ndlovu for Bafana Bafana call-up after stellar start to season

Ndlovu has been in sensational form for Abafana Bes’thende, standing out as one of the team’s most consistent performers this season. The dynamic attacker has already contributed three goals and five assists in just 12 appearances across all competitions — ten in the Betway Premiership and two in the Carling Knockout Cup.

Mngqithi believes Ndlovu’s impressive displays have earned him a place in the conversation for a Bafana Bafana call-up, urging national coach Hugo Broos to take notice.

“This boy is just a marvel for me in many ways. I might sound like I’m exaggerating, but I truly believe he’s one of the players the national team should be looking at. It’s talent like this that defines our football,” said the Arrows mentor.

The experienced mentor went on to highlight the winger’s all-round qualities, praising his technical ability, physical work rate, and composure in front of goal.

“Technically, he’s unbelievable, and physically, he’ll surprise you — he covers a lot of ground, makes high-intensity runs, and rarely makes mistakes,” Mngqithi continued.

“He’s very clinical both in his finishing and his passing. He’s grown tremendously, creating chances for the team and scoring crucial goals. For me, he’s undoubtedly among the best talents in the country right now.”

With performances like these, Ndlovu’s star continues to rise — and if Mngqithi’s words are anything to go by, a national team call-up could be just around the corner.

Ndlovu will have another chance to impress his coach when Arrows host Marumo Gallants at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday in a Betway Premiership tie.
