Report: Ruben Amorim's ruthless revamp - Man Utd outcasts risk pre-season exile

Amorim, working alongside Director of Football Jason Wilcox, aims to reshape a United squad that endured a historically poor campaign last season.

The Red Devils have already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for 62.5 million pounds, a statement signing to bolster their attack. Posts on X also indicate United have tabled an improved offer exceeding 60 million pounds for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo after an initial bid of 45 million pounds plus 10 million in add-ons was rejected.

However, recent speculation suggests Mbeumo may favor a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with some X users citing "obvious reasons" for the potential transfer U-turn.

To fund further signings, including a potential move for Sporting CP's Viktor Gyökeres, who is reportedly keen to reunite with Amorim, United are pushing to offload high-profile players.

Garnacho, despite contributing 11 goals and 10 assists last season, has been told to find a new club. Napoli have emerged as frontrunners for the 20-year-old, with United valuing him at 70 million pounds, though Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Tottenham are also in the race.

Alternatively, Napoli have been linked with Sancho, with reports on X claiming the winger has "verbally agreed" to a move to the Serie A side.

Rashford, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with Barcelona, described as his "dream" destination, but the Spanish giants appear set to sign Athletic Club's Nico Williams instead. Newcastle United have shown interest in Rashford, particularly as Liverpool circle their star striker Alexander Isak, according to posts on X.

Antony, who impressed with nine goals and five assists during a loan spell at Real Betis last season, is the subject of a proposed deal. Betis have offered 17 million pounds upfront, with United potentially receiving a significant percentage of any future transfer fee, though the Red Devils are holding out for 34 million pounds.

Posts on X confirm interest from Aston Villa and Brentford, but Antony reportedly prefers to stay with Betis.

A club insider revealed Amorim's uncompromising approach: "He's laying down the law. Arriving mid-season was tough, but now he's shaping the squad his way.

"He wants players fully committed to the cause, with no room for distractions." The source emphasized Amorim's vision for a tight-knit squad, prioritizing unity and peak fitness to avoid the inconsistencies of last season.

Amorim's stance has sparked debate among fans on X, with some praising his ruthlessness while others question the exclusion of talents like Garnacho. One post noted, "Amorim is hopeful this will push all four players to secure exits, though circumstances could still change dramatically."

As United prepare for a pivotal summer, Amorim's bold actions signal a new era at Old Trafford, with the coach determined to eliminate any "bad apples" and build a squad ready to compete at the highest level.
