Rushwin Dortley working hard to regain full fitness

The 23-year-old former Cape Town Spurs defender suffered the serious injury in March and underwent successful surgery.

He missed the second half of Amakhosi's Betway Premiership campaign and is currently working on his comeback alongside his teammates.

Dortley travelled with Chiefs to the Netherlands for their pre-season tour but has been training by himself under the supervision of Ngobese.

Reflecting on the injury, the player told the club's website: "I was tackled from the side. This is my first serious injury that needed an operation.

"One has to be strong mentally, as you want to play, but you can't. It's not easy, but I do know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

Ngobese added: "It's tough for a player not to be part of the team operation. However, Rushwin is working tremendously hard, continuously pushing himself."
