Senegal seeks pardon for 18 fans jailed after AFCON final
Senegal's government has spoken out strongly against the sentencing of 18 of its football supporters in Morocco following the Africa Cup of Nations final in January.

The 33-year-old is well known for his philanthropic efforts on the African continent and has now turned his attention to enhancing football internationally.
According to Ghanaweb, the two-time CAF African Player of the Year will open the Sadio Mane International Institute in Bourges, France before the end of 2026.
The institute aims to be able to help young athletes progress on and off the pitch, supporting young athletes to better equipe themselves with the rigors of elite sports.
Local French authorities, businesses and other nonprofit organizations will reportedly assist Mane to increase their chances of employment and draw them closer to local communities.
Reports also claim that Mane will be majority shareholder of the company.
