Serie A: Roma secure Paulo Dybala's services with one-year extension

The Argentina international has represented the Rome-based side since arriving in 2022 following the end of his seven-year spell at Juventus.

Since making the switch, the forward has featured 139 times in all competitions and found the net on 45 occasions.

Dybala's career in Italy began in 2012 when Palermo signed him, and he played a key role in the club's Serie B title-winning campaign two years later. He then enjoyed a breakthrough 2014-15 Serie A season, finishing as the division's leading assist provider before earning his move to Juventus.

His time in Turin proved to be the most decorated spell of his club career. Dybala lifted 12 major trophies, including five successive Serie A crowns and four Coppa Italia titles.

He also played an instrumental role in Juventus claiming a ninth consecutive league championship during the 2019-20 campaign, when he was recognised as Serie A's Most Valuable Player.

Across all competitions, the Argentine scored 115 goals for Juventus, leaving him level with Roberto Baggio as the club's joint ninth-highest scorer of all time.

On the international stage, Dybala was a member of Lionel Scaloni's Argentina squad that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, he did not earn a place in the national team's squad for this year's tournament.
