The Cape outfit beat the Dragons 29-21 in the United Rugby Championship last time out but Snyman believes the game should not have been that close.
They take on Edinburgh this weekend and he wants to see better execution when they have a chance to score points as the Stormers look to secure their place in the playoff rounds of the United Rugby Championship.
"We created a lot of opportunities. It's similar to the Bulls game at home a few weeks ago," he said.
"The encouraging thing is that we are creating those chances. You don't want to sit after a game and not know where your opportunities are coming from.
"We just weren't accurate enough, but also it's encouraging for us. I'd rather sit here with 10 opportunities missed than one created the whole game.
"The set-piece has been massive for us. Credit to the players, they put in the hard work every week. It gives the backs time and space, and now it's on us to reward that effort by making the right decisions."
Edinburg were thrashed 54-17 by the Lions at Ellis Park last time out but Snyman says the Stormers will not be taking them lightly.
"We all know going up there is not easy, especially for them coming from a winter scenario where you go to altitude and it's quite fast,' he said.
"The Lions had a good start and really played well, but we know it's an Edinburgh side that will be tough here on Saturday night. They are a quality side with world-class players and they'll be a big challenge.
"If you don't take your chances against a team like Edinburgh, they will put you under pressure. It's small things we need to fix, but important ones."
