VfB Stuttgart face transfer fight to keep striker Ermedin Demirovic

Reports from Germany claim Stuttgart are willing to consider offers for the 28-year-old, even though both the club and the player had initially hoped to continue working together.

Head coach Sebastian Hoeness is reportedly open to selling Demirovic if the right offer arrives, making the striker one of the Bundesliga's most sought-after forwards during the transfer window.

Demirovic has enjoyed an impressive spell at Stuttgart since joining the club, scoring 32 goals over the past two seasons. He also played an important role in their 2024/25 DFB-Pokal triumph, providing four assists during the cup run.

The experienced forward remains under contract until 2028, meaning Stuttgart are in a strong position should they decide to negotiate with interested clubs.

Demirovic also represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in all four of his country's matches. He played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Canada on his World Cup debut, started in the defeat to Switzerland, and completed another full match as Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Qatar 3-1.
