Nkosinathi Sibisi praises squad depth ahead of must-win AFCON clash
Bafana Bafana defender Nkosinathi Sibisi says South Africa are aiming for a confidence-boosting victory as they chase qualification to the last-16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The medical team has yet to clear Hadebe for action, leaving him on the sidelines for the highly anticipated showdown. The former Kaizer Chiefs star expressed his disappointment at missing the encounter, admitting the setback was a tough blow.
"It's heartbreaking. I was desperate to fight for the badge in every single game, but this injury has struck," Hadebe told Herald Online.
"I am still awaiting a full assessment to understand the timeline, but I am hopeful of a quick recovery. If the team progresses to the next round, I aim to be ready to contribute."
Hadebe, known for his defensive solidity and leadership, would have added experience and firepower to the Warriors' backline. Despite his absence, he insists he will play a crucial role in supporting his teammates from the sidelines.
"While I can't be on the pitch, I will be there on the sidelines, backing the boys all the way. Now, my role is to support those who will go out and do the job," Hadebe said.
"I believe we still have every opportunity to get the result we need against South Africa. The key is for the boys to adhere strictly to the coach's plan and execute it with precision."
The Warriors are determined to bounce back after a 2-1 opening loss to Egypt and a 1-1 draw with Angola.
A win against Bafana Bafana would be enough to secure progression to the knockout stages, either as a second-placed team or one of the best third-placed teams, depending on the outcome of the Egypt-Angola game.
With Hadebe cheering from the sidelines, all eyes will be on the Warriors' squad as they aim to secure a vital victory over their long-time rivals.
