'What better way?' - Wallaby Carlo Tizzano fired up for Springboks' challenge

The Les Kiss era has started well. Australia have won three Tests and drawn one - and if you go back to the dominating 57-10 victory over Italy in July under Joe Schmidt - the Wallabies are unbeaten in five Tests.

However, the Boks rolled the hosts 30-12 in their last visit to Perth in the 2024 Rugby Championship. Tizzano was just two caps into his international career at that point. As he's grown into the role over the last two seasons, Tizzano has seen what the side is capable of.

As such, the 26-year-old can't wait to test himself against the best with his teammates in gold this weekend.

"South Africa are the best team in the world, so what better way to test what we've been doing and everything we've been working on than doing it against the best?" the Western Force forward told AAP.

"To get the win will be will be unreal. I think we've grown a lot since we last played them in Perth.

"But it's all about making sure we do all the things we've been talking about during the week. And if we do that, then we should get a good result."

The Springboks arrived Down Under last week off the back of a gruelling 3-1 win over the All Blacks in Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Series. Many stalwarts are expected to be rested for the one-off Test. Coach Rassie Erasmus will announce his team on Tuesday.
