Jacob Bethell admits lack of game time has impacted his form
England batter Jacob Bethell conceded his decision to skip some domestic cricket meant he wasn't able to perform at his best when called upon at international level.
The match lasted just 106 balls in total as a clinical bowling performance was backed up by ruthless batting from the defending champions.
India won the toss and elected to bowl first. UAE openers Alishan Sharafu and captain Muhammad Waseem had their time in the sun, putting together a neat 25 in three overs. Jasprit Bumrah castled Sharafu (22) with a yorker and Yadav trapped Wasseem (19) in front in the following over.
From there, the UAE scorecard made for sorry reading as Rahul Chopra top-scored with just three. Yadav - who would pick up a neat 4/7 in just 13 balls - teamed up with Shavim Dube to rattle through the UAE batting lineup.
The hosts managed just 57 in their 13.1 overs, with their final seven wickets falling for just ten runs.
From there, it was over to India openers Abishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. They bludgeoned 48 in 3.5 overs before Sharma skyed one to mid-on.
Not wanting to be left out, captain Suryakumar Yadav hoiked a six off his first ball, then Gill smashed a boundary in the next over to put the hapless UAE out of their misery.
