Abdeslam Ouaddou says top coach Nasreddine Nabi needs time to settle at Kaizer Chiefs

Nabi has struggled in his first season in the Betway Premiership with Amakhosi.

His team dropped to ninth place on the league stadings with a 2-1 defeat to Gallants at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Makabi Lilepo opened the scoring for the home team on 10 minutes but Matome Mathiane levelled with 41 minutes on the clock, ahead of a 70th minute Daniel Msendami winner.

Ouaddou has only been at Gallants for a short time but has made a significant at the club, who have risen from the relegation places to 10th place - level with Chiefs on 30 points.

Speaking after the weekend's game, the Moroccan said on SuperSport: "I know tonight is a very difficult night for my colleague, Nabi.

“I know that he's a very big name, a very big coach in Africa. He achieved great things in Morocco and in Morocco they love him.

“I think in football it's about projects, sometimes you need time to settle your ideas, your game model. I believe he's one of the best coaches in Africa."
