Ashley Cupido completes loan move to Israeli side FC Kiryat Yam
Stellenbosch winger Ashley Cupido has sealed a season-long loan to Israeli side Kiryat Yam.

The 25-year-old forward endured an inconsistent 2025-26 campaign, finding regular opportunities hard to come by following his high-profile transfer from Cape Town Spurs in 2024.
With limited game time affecting both his rhythm and confidence, Cupido believes the temporary move offers the ideal chance to get his career back on track.
While preparing for the next chapter, Cupido admitted he is aware of the geopolitical situation in the region.
However, he stressed that his attention remains firmly on football as he looks to establish himself in Israeli football and return to consistent goalscoring form.
The loan move comes after a whirlwind period in the striker's career. Cupido earned his first senior Bafana Bafana call-up, describing the achievement as one of the proudest moments of his career.
"Yes, I feel this is a good opportunity for me just to get back to my best, considering how the last season played out. I think this opportunity is best for me. Getting back on track and scoring," Cupido told iDiski Times.
"I hope after this opportunity there will be more doors open for my career."
