New AmaZulu FC signing Liam Bern opens up after transfer turmoil
AmaZulu midfielder Liam Bern says the intense transfer saga that delayed his move to Usuthu has only strengthened his resolve.

Usuthu drew first blood in the 21st minute when Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya finished off a well-worked move. Amakhosi hit back 11 minutes later through youngster Mduduzi Shabalala, but their momentum was disrupted by missed opportunities.
Glody Lilepo wasted the best of them when his first-half penalty was saved by Darren Johnson, while Khanyisa Mayo denied his side a potential second after inadvertently interfering with Pule Mmodi's goal-bound shot, which was ruled out for offside.
Reflecting on the game, Ben Youssef admitted Chiefs created enough chances to claim all three points but were let down by lapses in concentration.
"In the first 30 minutes of the first half, we created at least four chances to score," he told SuperSport TV.
"Then we conceded a goal because of missed focus, where we didn't concentrate."
The Tunisian mentor acknowledged the psychological blow of missing a penalty but praised the players for their response.
"Football is about small details, and mentally it's very tough when you have a penalty and miss it. But we continued to fight, and we equalised through Shabalala. Then we got another opportunity — we scored, but Mayo touched the ball and it was offside," he explained.
Despite being denied the victory, Ben Youssef believes Chiefs were the better side and expects results to follow if they continue performing at this level.
"In the second half, I think we deserved to win and deserved the three points. I'm happy with the performance, and the results will come with time," he said.
After the draw, Amakhosi have now only been able to collect 15 points from eight matches - placing them in fifth place on the league standings.
