Cameroon star Bryan Mbeumo wins double awards after impressive Manchester United start

The 26-year-old forward joined United from Brentford in July for a reported 71 million GBP, which included 65 million guaranteed and 6 million in performance-based add-ons.

He has quickly adapted to life at Old Trafford, impressing fans and teammates alike.

"Bryan Mbeumo has been named Manchester United's Player of the Month for August, awarded in association with Tiger. The talented forward, currently away on international duty with Cameroon, beat fellow nominees Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt to take the award," read a statement from the club.

"His first Premier League goal, scored against Burnley, was also voted Goal of the Month by thousands of supporters through the United App."

Mbeumo has already scored two goals in four appearances for Manchester United and is expected to feature in Sunday's Manchester derby against City at the Etihad Stadium.

The forward will now focus on helping the Indomitable Lions in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with Cameroon set to face Cape Verde away on Tuesday.

He was in the starting lineup last Thursday when Cameroon defeated Eswatini 3-0 at home.

With his strong performances for both club and country, Mbeumo appears poised to become a key figure for Manchester United and the Cameroon national team this season.
