Carlos Queiroz makes new addition to Ghana technical team ahead of World Cup

The Black Stars appointed the Portuguese mentor to replace Otto Addo following a series of disappointing results in preparation to the global showpiece in North America.

Queiroz has now strengthened his technical team with the appointment of goalkeeper trainer Dan Gaspar, who is currently goalkeeper coach at American club Hartford Athletic.

Representing Ghana on the world stage in my home country is an incredible honor, said Gaspar to his club's website.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity and excited to get to work with such a talented group of players and staff. Competing at the World Cup again is a dream come true. I'm fully committed to helping the team prepare, perform, and make our supporters proud."

The Black Stars will be pitted in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
