Casric Stars announce 18 new signings

The team finished in seventh place in the previous National First Division campaign but have ambitions to fight for promotion this time around.

Joining the ambitious Govinder Sundra coached team are Siyabonga Vilane, Teboho Lekhatla, Nhlanhla Ntuli, Nande Jojwana, Kabelo Mofokeng, Boysen Mbatha, Katleho Molaba, Yagan Sasman, Mlungisi Mokhwanazi, Mlungisi Zwane, Thabang Rakwena, Oegeng Phiri, Lako Lako (GK), Marc Anderson (GK), Ofentse Mothapo, Marate Ndiengune, Lesego Sebetlela and Joel Agoe.

One particularly notable name on that list is of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Yagan Sasman, who has had been without a club since January, having last played for Swedish side AFC Eskilstuna.

Stars kick off their season against Durban City [formerly Maritzburg United] at Chatsworth Stadium on Friday, 23 August 2024.
