Cedric Kaze beaming after delivering beautiful cup final baby with Kaizer Chiefs

The Soweto giants beat cross-town rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

Captain Yusuf Maart scored the winning goal with ten minutes of the match remaining after Evidence Makgopa's 17th minute effort cancelled out a Gaston Sirino penalty on 10 minutes.

The last time Chiefs won a trophy was in the 2014/15 season when they won league honours.

Speaking after the encounter a beaming Kaze told SuperSport: "It is a very big and nice baby that we've just delivered.

"We have to admit that it wasn't a nice final, not very entertaining. But games like these are not meant to be played – they're meant to be won.

"After we scored the second goal, it showed in the way we defended. It's been a tough 10 years, and everyone at this club wanted to win so badly. That's why we came here, and now here we are."
