Chema Andres joins VfB Stuttgart as Real Madrid retain buy-back option

The Spanish giants have secured a buy-back clause in the deal, ensuring they can bring the talented youngster back in the future. Andres has signed a contract with the Bundesliga side that runs until 2030.

In an emotional post on his social media, Andres expressed heartfelt gratitude to Real Madrid. "I will always carry this club in my heart," he said, reflecting on his journey from a 13-year-old recruit in 2018 to a standout performer in their youth ranks.

Despite loan offers from La Liga clubs, both Andres and Real Madrid opted for the move to Germany, where he is expected to continue his development as one of Spain's brightest prospects.

Real Madrid and VfB Stuttgart confirmed the transfer in a joint statement. "Real Madrid C.F. and VfB Stuttgart have reached an agreement for the transfer of our player Chema Andres," the statement read.

During his time at Real Madrid, Andres progressed through their youth system, culminating in a debut for the senior team in January 2025. His crowning achievement came in the 2022-23 season, when he helped Real Madrid's Juvenil A side clinch a historic treble, winning the league, Copa del Rey, and Copa de Campeones.

On the international stage, Andres has also shone, lifting the UEFA European Under-19 Championship with Spain in 2024. Real Madrid praised his dedication in their statement, saying, "Our club thanks him for his work, commitment, and dedication, and wishes him and his family the very best in this new chapter."

The move to Stuttgart offers Andres a chance to test himself in one of Europe's top leagues, with the Bundesliga known for nurturing young talent. Real Madrid's decision to include a buy-back option signals their belief in his long-term potential.

This transfer marks a bold step for Andres, who will aim to make his mark in Germany while carrying the weight of expectation as one of La Fabrica's finest exports.
