Michael Olise named Bayern Munich's Player of the Season for 2024/25

The 23-year-old French winger, who joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in July 2024 for a reported 60 million euros, secured the award with 44.8% of the fan vote, far ahead of Thomas Muller (18.7%) and Harry Kane (9.4%), as announced on Bayern's social media.

Olise's debut campaign was nothing short of spectacular, with 12 goals and a league-high 15 assists in 34 Bundesliga matches, playing a pivotal role as Bayern reclaimed the Meisterschale. His flair and creativity shone in the UEFA Champions League too, where he contributed five goals and two assists in 14 appearances.

"He's become one of our most important players this season," head coach Vincent Kompany said, praising Olise's seamless adaptation to the Bundesliga's intensity. "That's not something you can take for granted in your first year at this level."

The winger's ability to deliver in clutch moments was especially vital when injuries sidelined key players like Jamal Musiala. Olise's dazzling dribbles, pinpoint passes, and trademark left-footed curlers made him a fan favorite, with supporters chanting his name at the Allianz Arena.

"The boy is great fun. Everything always seems very easy and relaxed, but he plays extremely seriously," sporting director Christoph Freund said, highlighting Olise's team-first mentality.

Reflecting on his move, Olise told FC Bayern's magazine '51', "When I found out Bayern were seriously interested, it was an unbelievable moment. The mentality of always wanting to win is impressive."

His impact extended beyond stats, with a league-leading 4.7 key passes per 90 minutes and a dribble success rate above 65%, cementing his status as a dynamic force.
